Once you have crossed the Causeway, you are on Sanibel.
All the major airlines fly into RSW. Value-oriented AirTran, Spirit and Southwest have direct flights from major cities. Private jets can fly into RSW or Page Field at Ft. Myers.
If you are not renting a car, transportation from RSW can be arranged ahead of time by calling Sanibel Taxi at 239.472.4160. Fares are approximately $60 for up to three passengers; each additional passenger is $10. Taxi rates in SW Florida are determined by zone, not meter.
